A primeval forest surrounding Shimogamo Shrine. It contains trees that are centuries old and offers a cool, shaded path.
Parking is handy if you want to visit the Kawai Shrine, or if there is some market going on in the forest. If there is a market, there will be extra parking space in the north part of the forest.
