Built in 1895 to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of Kyoto. It features a massive vermilion torii gate and extensive strolling gardens with ponds and weeping cherry trees.
There are two marked spots in front of the main gate. One is next to the water basin and the other one is on the opposite side.
